Focal Point Magazine: Navigating a Modern World


In 2019, we helped First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta concept and create Focal Point magazine. This bi-annual publication is designed to spur theological introspection with a mix of thoughtfully-executed photography, design, and storytelling.

Every issue focuses on the way that faith influences our experience of a specific theme. For example, previous themes include Hospitality, Money, and Social Entrepreneurship.

The magazine isn’t about preaching or sharing church news, it’s about storytelling—connecting to audiences in ways that are authentic and relevant to the way they live. With projects like Focal Point, First Presbyterian is redefining the way we engage with faith and community.

To date, Focal Point has been recognized 10 times for excellence in graphic design, writing, and photography by the Religion Communicators Council.

With their 175th anniversary approaching, projects like this help First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta continue to evolve the concept and the practice of “church.” We’re honored to support them as they celebrate the past and look to the future.
